Happiness Comes In Waves
So does everything else.
Calm. Chaos. Clarity. The moments you don’t plan for but recognize the second they arrive. This work is built from that rhythm, the push and pull, the tension and release, something just beneath the surface.
Paint laid down with intention, then left alone. Light caught mid-shift. Water not as a subject, but as a language.
Every piece is less about what you see and more about what it stirs. Like standing at the edge of the ocean and realizing it’s not the view that moves you… it’s what stays with you after.
This isn’t a place.
It’s a feeling you take with you.

Sean's Story
I’ve been an artist for as long as I can remember. Drawn to the way light shifts, color moves, and certain moments stay with you long after they’re gone. For more than 30 years, I’ve explored that feeling through design, photography, film, painting, sculpture, and anything else that allowed me to create something honest.
But the ocean has always been the constant. The place where everything gets quiet and makes sense again.
My time between California and Kailua-Kona continues to shape the way I see the world. The pull of the tide, the shift of light, the feeling of being fully present for a moment that can’t be repeated.
Every piece is less about capturing a place and more about holding onto a feeling.
If you’ve ever felt that…
then you already know why I do this.
Saltwater on Canvas
Every painting I create begins as a one-of-one original, built with thick paint, movement, and whatever the ocean was giving me that day. But the work doesn’t end there.
Each piece is released as a limited edition print signed, numbered, and produced in a range of sizes. Once an edition is complete, it’s closed for good. It’s a way to hold onto the feeling of the original, while making it accessible beyond a single canvas.
And if you’ve got something personal in mind, a place, a memory, or just a feeling you can’t shake, I take on a small number of custom commissions as well. You can reach out through the contact page on the site to start that conversation.
Chasing Light Behind The Lens
My photography isn’t about capturing a perfect moment, it’s about chasing a feeling. The way light moves across the water, the quiet before a wave breaks, the kind of scenes that stay with you long after you’ve left. Each piece is available as a signed and numbered print in a range of sizes, made to bring that same sense of calm, movement, and space into your world.
