Ka Lae (The Point) 24x48

There’s a different feeling at the southern edge of the Big Island.

At Ka Lae, the land doesn’t ease into the ocean, it drops. Sharp, exposed, and unfiltered. It feels like the end of something, but not in a quiet way. In a way that reminds you how small you are against it.

The wind, the cliffs, the endless blue beyond… it all carries a kind of weight. Not heavy, just undeniable.

This painting is about that edge. The place where the land stops, and everything else begins.
